Bio

I'm Matt D. Lewis, a lifelong music producer currently creating under the name Malphorix. My journey began on the Amiga 500, experimenting with OctaMED at a young age. From there, I explored tracker-based sequencers like FastTracker II and Renoise, honing a sound that's uniquely mine. In the early 2000s, I found success as one half of the industrial-style duo Mainstream Distortion, signed to Some Bizarre Records with a full album release. After stepping back to focus on work and family, I'm now returning to music with renewed energy and vision. My style—"Unapologetically Electronic"—is futuristic, atmospheric, and difficult to box into a single genre. It blends decades of influence with a forward-thinking edge. My latest release, "New World", is a 16-track album featuring unreleased work spanning the past 30 years—music that still sounds fresh, cinematic, and current.
